Neighborhood House Expands with Innovative Child Care Model at SPARK

Neighborhood House is proud to announce the opening of a new satellite facility at SPARK, a groundbreaking development in Salt Lake City that combines affordable housing with onsite, income-based child care.

Developed by Brinshore Development in partnership with the City of Salt Lake, SPARK is a 200-unit residential complex that aims to address the growing child care crisis by offering families convenient access to high-quality early education. Neighborhood House will provide care for up to 55 children, aged 15 months to five years, utilizing our evidence-based preschool curriculum and a sliding-scale tuition model.

“This is a model that makes sense for Utah families,” said Jennifer Nuttall, Executive Director of Neighborhood House. “By removing the barrier of construction costs, we can focus more resources on supporting families and providing care they can afford.”

This collaboration represents an exciting step toward reimagining how communities can work together to support children, working parents, and long-term economic stability.
