Summer Programs
During the summer months our facility is filled to capacity! We provide three age appropriate programs designed to expose children to a variety of experiences and opportunities they otherwise would not encounter. The goals of the programs are to build self confidence, problem solve, and to accept cultural and personal differences, to promote healthy life choices which ultimately enhance and strengthen our families and communities.
- School-age Summer Program (ages 5-9) offers:
- Recreational activities including: Swimming, bowling, hiking, fishing, archery, and much more.
- Field trips including: Hogle Zoo, Clark Planetarium, Red Butte Gardens, local museums, etc.
- All time favorites such as Raging Waters and Lagoon
- Art projects, Summer Olympics, Intergenerational
activities and the Children's Garden
- S.O.A.R. I (Summer Outdoor Activities & Recreation) (ages 10-12)
This program provides unique social, recreational and cultural opportunities - Beautifying Jordan River Trail
- Services to low-income housing
- Assist elderly with needs
- Hiking, swimming, arts and education
- Rock climbing and rappelling
- Overnight camping trips
- Educational field trips
- S.O.A.R. II (Summer Outdoor Activities & Recreation) (ages 13-14)
This program builds upon the principles of S.O.A.R. I with a half-day of community services and a half-day of recreational activities and building social skills.
Included are the following but not limited to: - Bear Lake trip, Capitol Reef
- Week long past trips included San Diego, Las Vegas, and Jackson Hole
- Afternoon activities include: Rock climbing, hiking, swimming, movies, arcade, bowling, and much more
