Partners

Headstart- We are a satellite station for the Headstart program. We provide space for a classroom where 18 children participate in activities which prepares them with essential skills for kindergarten.

Salt Lake County Aging Services- We participate in two programs; a "Foster Grandparent Program" and a "Senior Companion Program", where seniors volunteer 5 days a week in both the children's and the adult's programs. They assist with the coordination and implementation of activities, serving meals and provide nurturing and companionship to adults and children.

The Children's Center- A therapist observes at least once a week, on-site, children in the classroom who exhibit emotional or psychological abnormal behavior. Assessments are performed and necessary referrals are made accordingly. In addition, the Children's Center provides training for staff on Childhood Development Accreditation.

United Way- As a United Way agency we participate in three of their collaborations: Success by Six, Healthy for Life, and Communities at Peace. These three collaborations assist meeting our program goals by providing each other with information, referrals and support.

Primary Children's Hospital- Once a week a speech therapist works with three of our children to improve and correct speech impediments in order to prepare children to enter school.

Youth Employment Services-
Up to six youth participate and serve as aids in the children's classrooms throughout the year.

America Reads- Provides full time tutors to assist children who are academically behind in reading to help prepare them for the new school year.

Alzheimers Association and Division of Services for people with Disabilities- Both groups provide information, research and referrals to our families with Alzheimer's and related disabilities.

To enroll or to find out more info on our collaborations please call:
