Adult Day Care

Neighborhood House opened its Adult Day Program in 1978 to meet an increasing need for quality care for disabled adults. We go above and beyond other adult day care services in its ability to provide a responsive and caring environment, to both the clients and caregivers. We offer referral services to families to assist in reducing stress in their lives by taking some of the many responsibilities of being a main support system for their loved ones. The reduction of stress allows for a stronger family cohesion and a better relationship between client and caregiver. Our Adult Day Service is a social rehabilitative program, which utilizes recreational and therapeutic activities to maintain physical, mental and social skills as well as the highest possible level of independence.

Our two Adult Centers assist families by providing the following services with fees based on the client's ability to pay:

• Homelike setting with compassionate care 
• Staff client ratio of 1:6
• Door to door transportation throughout the valley
• Services for Alzheimer's disease and other related memory loss
• Nutritious meals and snacks meeting RDA requirements
• Dance, music, art and physical therapy
• Referrals to other community services
• Fenced-in walking paths and gardens
