Our Programs

We offer nationally accredited toddler, preschool, afterschool, and summer programs for children age 15 months to 12 years old. We also provide day care and support services for adults who need supervised care during the day, allowing more adults in our community to age in place.

Adult Day Services: Alison

Neighborhood House is a life-line and a lifesaver!

I truly don’t know what either of us would do without this outstanding program!

— Alison, the wife of an Adult Day Services client with Alzheimer’s

Adult Day Services: Amy

My grandmother lives as fully as she can in each moment, squeezing the experience out of each one, but when the experience is gone so is the memory of it. For over a year, Neighborhood House has created priceless moments every day for her to enjoy, saving our lives and sanity while keeping our loved one safe, happy, and enjoying life!

— Amy, the daughter of an Adult Day Services client at Riverside

Children’s Day Center: John's Dad

John’s dad came to Neighborhood House and met our School Age Coordinator. He immediately started crying, explaining to her that he and his three sons were about to be evicted from their home, and his wife had left. He just kept saying he needed a place for his boys. Megan immediately got the boys signed up for the Neighborhood House Summer Program and they’ve been playing and learning ever since!

Children’s Day Center: Rachel

We were homeless and I am a single mom. I couldn’t work longer hours without finding day care for my two and four year old. When I found Neighborhood House I felt relief, knowing I had found affordable care for my kids.

— Rachel, a mom with kids in our Preschool and Toddler programs

Unique Features of Our Programs

Intergenerational activities and horticultural therapy are some of the many unique aspects of Neighborhood House programs. Intergenerational bonds strengthen cognitive, physical, social and emotional domains for both children and adults. And gardening creates a sense of responsibility and belonging very beneficial to both age groups.
